Friday Reads

Hey y’all it’s Friday! (Tweet hashtag #fridayreads.)

Btw this is what I'm gonna be for Halloween!

I’ve got a few books in the pipeline, say a hundred or so. I thought I’d ask for your help choosing what to read next.

This is what I’m thinking:

1. On Beauty by Zadie Smith
2. The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera (a reread. I can’t get enough of this book)
3. The Man Who was Thursday (apparently this is a nightmare–so, maybe good for Halloween)
4. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
5. The Virgin Suicides (to complete my Jeffrey Eugenides kick)

I welcome any other suggestions that aren’t listed above. See my list for other  books…

If you want a good Halloween book, I’d go for The Picture of Dorian Grey. I noticed that was on your list. It’s a chilling and haunting tale full of supernatural goodness!

How about “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. It’s a classic, or you could read the revised addition of “Pope Joan”! Heard the author last Thurs. P.M. Very entertaining.
